New to the studio or to yoga?
If you have never visited our studio before, you are eligible for our $49 New Student Special. This is an unlimited membership for one month. The clock on your month doesn’t start until you check in to your first class, so it can be purchased in advance. You can purchase it below or you can choose it as your payment option when you sign up for your first class with us.
1. What can I expect when I come to the studio?
You will find the teachers and other students to be friendly and welcoming! It’s helpful to come 10 or 15 minutes early for class your first time so we can show you around. We’ll ask you to take off your shoes and put them in our lounge. You can check in with the teacher who will greet you either in the studio or at desk in the hallway. We have mats that you can use, and all the props that you might need for class. There is filtered water in the fridge and glasses above the sink in the kitchen for everyone’s use.
2. Do I have to pre-register for classes?
Yes. Due to Covid-19, space is limited, and we require that you preregister for in-studio or outdoor classes. The zoom link for online classes comes in your confirmation email, so we also recommend that you please preregister for those classes at least an hour beforehand so that you get the link in time.
3. How do I sign up?
We use MindBody Online for scheduling and payment of classes which you can use on your desktop or as an App, which we find a bit easier. Simply download the MindBody App, search for our studio, and create an account. You can also sign up for classes through our website, where the “Sign up” buttons on our schedule will take you to the desktop version of MindBody.
Here are some instructions and support for using MindBody online: https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/212565287-How-clients-create-logins-in-Consumer-Mode?language=en_US.
4. What’s your cancellation policy?
Please be considerate and cancel your class reservations if you are not going to be able to make it! We reserve the right to charge you for the class if you cancel less than one hour before class time for an outdoor or in studio class.
5. What classes do you recommend for beginners?
All of our classes are small and teachers will offer adaptations for different levels of yoga experience or desired physicality. However, if this is your very first time with yoga, we recommend one of the Gentle classes or Alignment yoga. These classes move slowly so there is plenty of time to experiment with getting into the pose. Alignment yoga offers more detail than some of our other classes on the proper position of the body during poses.
5. What should I wear to yoga class?
Anything comfortable that you can move around in, that isn’t too loose. No fancy yoga clothing required! You can wear socks, but it’s good to take them off once you warm up because you tend to need your feet to grip the mat for some poses.
6. Can I get private instruction or a special class for my family, friends or co-workers?
Yes! Please email Lexie at email@example.com with information about your schedule and needs, and she will pair you with a teacher for individual instruction. Teachers set their rates, which range from $40-$65 per hour. We will travel to your location or you can arrange a private lesson in our studio.
7. How do I sign up for workshops? Can I use my class pass?
To sign up for workshops or class series’, visit the workshop schedule at yogagardenpbo.com/workshops. Our workshops vary in price. I’m sorry that we can’t accept class passes for workshops. Most are longer than classes and are priced differently.
Remember, you can always email Lexie at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions!!!
