Our Story

Yoga Garden Pittsboro was founded in 2017 by Lexie Wolf, RYT-500, a dedicated yogi and former community public health advocate, in collaboration with Dharma Richards, ERYT-500, founder of Yoga Garden Apex.  Many local yogis, dreamers, and doers have generously invested their time, wisdom, and Prana in the birth and development of Yoga Garden Pittsboro.

We are the yoga home for a group of dedicated, highly-trained teachers offering a variety of styles and perspectives on yoga. While our teachers all approach the practice through their own unique and creative training and experience, we share the understanding that yoga is much more than “asana,” the physical practice of postures. We are working to build a community rooted in our yogic values - compassion & loving kindness towards ourselves and all beings, wellness of body, mind and spirit, consciousness, gratitude, and commitment to our practices, to name a few.

Our Garden Cottage

Our garden cottage studio is a joyful space to practice, connect, and discover. Built in 1900, it was thoughtfully restored in 2017. While you are in our studio, check out the beautiful mosaic in our lounge created by Janice Rieves and Yasmin Charalambous or the fabulous Magnolia Gate in our garden by Lyle Estill. Our lounge and hallway also feature rotating exhibits by local artists. And, you can't miss the fabulous "Breathe" mural on our West wall by Loren Pease!

We are blessed with a serene and private walled garden which serves as our outdoor studio. We love to practice in nature listening to the birds and looking up at the sky.

Our cottage includes a sweet lounge and cozy kitchen, where you are always welcome to relax and enjoy a cup of tea! You can also sit on our rocking chair front porch or in the garden. There is plenty of parking behind our studio as well as on the street.
