It was never my plan by Lexie Wolf

It was never in my plan to teach yoga!

Back in 2018, I joined our studio’s very first yoga teacher training with our co-founder Dharma Richards, thinking it would be helpful to be able to sub classes. As a studio owner, it felt like the practical thing to do.

But it turns out, teaching yoga isn’t something you do on standby. You really have to step in wholeheartedly to gain enough experience and confidence to be an effective teacher— and so that’s exactly what happened. Slowly but surely, I fell in love with sharing my practice. It has become one of the most meaningful parts of my life.

Now, I’m honored to be co-leading this year’s teacher training alongside my dear friend Meadow, our Director of Teacher Training. It’s my first time in this role, and I couldn’t be more excited to geek out on all the nooks and crannies of Yoga with a group of curious, dedicated students. Honestly, it feels like a dream come true.

Meadow has spent years thoughtfully crafting and refining this program to offer students a rich, grounded, and inspiring foundation — whether you’re hoping to teach or just want to deepen your personal practice.

This training is rooted in Classical Yoga and includes study of the essential texts, philosophy, and practices that bring yoga to life far beyond the mat. Our faculty includes many of our beloved Yoga Garden instructors, each sharing from their own area of experience and passion.

And if you’ve spent time at Yoga Garden, you already know—our studio is full of heart. It’s warm and welcoming, and rooted in real community. In teacher training, that spirit only deepens. You’ll share long days, deep conversations, lots of laughter, and meaningful moments with people who may become lifelong friends. There’s something beautiful about learning and growing alongside others—it creates a bond that’s hard to describe but easy to feel. We have a lovely group forming.

If you’re curious to learn more, I’d love to invite you to our upcoming Yoga Teacher Training Info Session. It’s a chance to ask questions, meet a few of us, and see if this path might be calling to you too.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to be willing to take the next step.

love,

Lexie

Sign up here for the free info session this Sunday, June 22 from 3–4pm. You’ll get a feel for the training, and have a chance to ask any questions that are on your heart. Can’t make the training? Reach out at yogagardenpbo@gmail.com and Meadow or I will be happy to set up a time to chat.
